Welcome!

PreCoding views Computational Thinking as an expressive process, where children explore, and problem solve.

Our unplugged lessons are filled with engaging activities that will ready future coders for digital devices.

Our curriculum develops five basic Computational Thinking concepts, we called them

The Five.

PreCoding lessons are easy to read and easy to follow, using materials that are already part of any classroom.

Fluency

Technological Fluency is using computers as tools, it is the base for using different platforms.

It is common that software developers learn different computer languages, web designers use different programs, even you and I use a different smartphone to send a text.

Modularity

Modularity is breaking down tasks into simpler units.

We see more and more in companies that teams work on different parts of the same project. For that project to be successful, everyone must have a clear understanding and be able to see the big picture as well as to communicate and collaborate.

Physical Therapy Icon

Computational Thinking and Physical Therapy. Although this sounds like an unlikely combination, we ventured to explore this relationship with the students at UTCJ, as PT students went through some of the PreCoding activities, together we all learned something new!

During my 16 years as an Early Childhood educator, (shout out to my Dallas ISD friends!), I have witnessed how young minds can thrive when curiosity dances alongside imagination, and when educators provide learning experiences through games, art and exploration as we unlock hidden talents and discover new perspectives.

When we view learning as an adventure, our hearts brim with excitement, we relish the journey, and seize more opportunities as our minds open.

Shine on my fellow learners! We shall illuminate the future with knowledge, laughter, and endless possibilities!

Hey fellow learners and explorers,

Esme here!
